Access One offers Data Trax Solution to Customers

Chicago, IL (October 7, 2011) Chicago-based telecommunications firm Access One announces it will now provide customers with Data Trax, a web-based tool designed to capture, store and graph an Access One customer’s managed data network’s bandwidth utilization. Customers can now look at their bandwidth usage and assess whether their current amount is sufficient or whether they could benefit from augmenting it.

“Whether it’s because of a SaaS application or streaming a webinar, businesses’ data networks are faced with ever increasing demands for more bandwidth. Data Trax will help our customers determine whether their current Internet access connection is reaching its limit and help them decide when it’s time to increase their bandwidth to ensure maximum productivity,” said Larry Levy, Chief Operating Officer of Access One.

The Data Trax application collects bandwidth usage information from the LAN and WAN ports of the router at predetermined intervals and stores all of the necessary information to create and populate graphs. Users are able to change the graph parameters so that they can look at utilization over the previous 30 minutes, hours, days, weeks or months of time. Each user can select their own settings when it comes to viewing these graphic representations.

“We are pleased to make this important tool available to our customers. At Access One, we believe every customer has its unique needs, and Data Trax will help them determine how much bandwidth their business needs,” Levy said.
