Independent Examination Demonstrates Access One’s Commitment to Security and Compliance
Chicago, IL – June 12, 2023 – Access One Inc., a Chicago based managed IT services provider, announced today its successful completion of a SOC 2 Type 1 examination. This is a significant achievement for a service organization, as it demonstrates management has suitably designed controls to protect their customers’ sensitive data.
SOC 2 is a cybersecurity compliance framework developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Access One’s SOC 2 examination was performed by Schellman & Company, LLC, a fully accredited CPA firm, against the trust services criteria categories of availability and security. By engaging an independent CPA firm to examine and report on the suitability of the design of controls implemented, Access One can respond to the needs of their user entities with an objective evaluation that addresses operations and compliance.
